Afin de ne pas détériorer les fossiles, on peut en faire des moulages. Nous avons réalisé quelques moulages de dents.Voici comment nous avons procédé: In order not to damage the fossils, you can make some mouldings. Here are the different steps :
1-Placer le fossile sur de la pâte à modeler au fond d'un gobelet pour le stabiliser. 1-Stick the fossil at the bottom of a plastic cup with a piece of moulding paste .
2-Mélanger l'alginate (poudre) avec de l'eau (2 volumes de poudre pour 1 volume d'eau). 2-Pour onto the powder two volumes of water .
3-Verser l'alginate dans le gobelet et recouvrir totalement le fossile. 3-Pour the powder in the plastic cup and cover the fossil .
4-Attendre environ 10 minutes pour que l'alginate se solidifie. 4-Wait 5 to 10 min. until the mixture has set .
5-Pour démouler, enlever le moule du gobelet. 5-Remove the piece of modelling paste from the bottom .
6-Couper le moule en deux à l'aide d'un cutter. 6-Using a cutter, cut the mould in two.

7-Découper le fond du gobelet avec des ciseaux et reconstituer le moule dans le gobelet.7-Pierce the bottom of the plastic cup with scissors and put the two halves of the mould back in the casing.

8-Mélanger le plâtre avec de l'eau et verser le mélange dans le moule8-Prepare the plaster and pour it into the mould.

9-Attendre au moins 2 heures que le plâtre sèche. 9-Wait until the plaster is dry.
10-Puis séparer les deux parties et dégager le moulage 10-Then seperate the two halves and extract the plaster casting.
